Can quotes be signed electronically from Dynamics 365?
Electronic signing requires an electronic signature provider. Several of them offer ready-made integrations with Dynamics 365.
The quote document is sent for signature directly from the record, and the status is updated automatically. The salesperson can see when the customer has opened and signed it, without having to ask.
Signed documents are stored with the quote rather than in an inbox. In the event of a dispute or an audit, you know where they are. That is often worth more than the days saved.
The type of signature required depends on what the agreement covers. For most commercial agreements, a simple electronic signature is sufficient, but consult someone with expertise in contract law before standardizing.
