What is customer equipment, and why should it be registered?
Customer equipment refers to the machines, systems, or devices you are responsible for at the customer's site.
Service history per unit, not just per customer. This allows the technician to see that the same pump has been repaired three times this year, which changes what they recommend.
Service agreements are linked to equipment. Without the register, you must describe the scope in free text, which means it cannot be reported on.
If you know the model and serial number in advance, the technician can bring the correct part on the first visit. A second visit is the costliest mistake in field service.
Equipment can have sub-equipment. This is useful for facilities with components, but four levels are rarely maintained. Two are enough for most.
