What happens to flows when the person who created them leaves?
This is the most underestimated risk in Power Platform, and it affects every organization that has been using it for some time.
The flow ran using the person's connection. When the account is deactivated, the flow stops working. It fails silently, and because no one else knew it existed, the issue is only discovered when something has not happened for several weeks.
Run everything in production under a shared user account rather than a personal account. Make sure each flow has at least two owners. And keep a simple overview of what is running, what it does, and who is responsible for it.
When someone leaves, someone should check what they owned in Power Platform—just as they would with equipment and access permissions. It’s a five-minute check that can prevent a baffling troubleshooting process later.
