Trond Jarnes of Jets Vacuum told Stine Sletvold and Frode Stenstrøm how AI in Dynamics 365 Sales now automates quote lines.
In this 2025 conversation, Trond Jarnes, Business System Director at Jets Group, met Stine Sletvold and Frode Stenstrøm from ProsessPilotene to talk about Jets' new sales solution. Jets Vacuum, based near Ålesund, makes vacuum toilets and treatment systems for ships and land-based buildings, and has rebuilt its entire system architecture around a combined ERP and CRM project in Dynamics 365, with sales staff now writing quotes directly in the CRM system rather than the ERP system as before.
The core of the solution is an AI agent that reads incoming orders, often PDF attachments from customers and agents, and automatically creates quote lines. Of roughly 7,000 monthly quote lines, Jets estimated that more than 4,000 could be automated, saving over 400 hours of manual work a year and adding capacity to handle growth without a matching increase in headcount.
Jarnes stressed that adoption was staged: the first version still required the salesperson to upload the PDF manually, which gave users a sense of control and helped drive quick acceptance across the organisation. Development itself took about two weeks of consulting time, and within roughly a month usage grew from one lead user to the whole sales team, partly because the solution was tuned for practical quirks such as missing leading zeros in product numbers.
Jets is now working on later versions to handle more complex requests and eventually automate the entire quote document, always with a salesperson reviewing the result before it goes to the customer. Jarnes' advice to other companies was to involve internal resources, secure leadership buy-in, and break large initiatives into smaller, manageable projects rather than trying to solve everything at once.
