Microsoft 365 Copilot is the AI assistant built into the apps employees already use. It draws context from the organization’s own documents, emails, and meetings—allowing it to answer questions that a general-purpose chatbot cannot. Access controls still apply Copilot only sees what the employee has access to. At the same time, this exposes past carelessness in access management: if too many people have access to too much, Copilot will find it.
