A service agreement automatically schedules recurring work. This guide explains how to set it up and how to avoid a flood of work orders.
Start and end date, customer, and service location. An end date should be set even if the agreement is ongoing—this ensures a review upon renewal.
What needs to be done, which equipment it applies to, and the estimated duration. This will be the content of each generated work order.
How often, and how long before the due date, the order should be created. Two to four weeks in advance gives the planner time to allocate the work.
Generate the bookings and see what comes up. An incorrect interval across many agreements results in hundreds of orders, which must be cleaned up manually.
The price list from the agreement must be included. If it has not been set, billing will be at the standard price—and this will not be discovered until the invoice is received.
Quarterly: Which contracts are nearing their end, and which are generating orders that no one fulfills? Both cost money.
