Frode Stenstrøm and Iselin from ProsessPilotene showed in a webinar how orders can be automated without writing code.
Frode Stenstrøm, senior advisor at ProsessPilotene, and his colleague Iselin, who built the demonstrations, showed how businesses can automate manual work without programming, using tools most Norwegian organisations already have through Microsoft 365. The starting point was a simple example of a consulting-services supplier and a customer ordering consulting hours.
They showed how an order is captured through Microsoft Forms Pro, logged as an order, and sent for approval to a consulting manager, who can approve it directly from an interactive card in an Outlook email, including on mobile. The entire workflow was built in Power Automate without a single line of code, and could be reused in a contact-centre context where a simple chatbot built in Power Virtual Agents takes orders via chat.
Finally, they demonstrated UI flows, a screen-recording feature in Power Automate that can fill in forms in line-of-business systems lacking an API or connector, illustrated by creating a project in the X Ledger finance system. The webinar summarised the possibilities for order intake, approval, chat channels and robot-driven data entry into legacy systems.
The recording is from ProsessPilotene's own webinar series and is relevant to marketing, sales and customer service managers considering simple process automation without IT development. The content reflects the tools and terminology of the time it was recorded; product names such as Power Virtual Agents and some connectors have since changed.
