A sprint is a defined period of time with its own list of deliverables, resource allocation, and budget. Use this procedure when planning a new sprint, both at the start of the project and for each subsequent period.
Have the project manager agree on the length of the sprint with the customer's project manager.
Make sure the first period is highly detailed so that the entire project team knows exactly what is to be delivered in the first iteration.
Distribute the defined and estimated tasks from DevOps across the sprint timeline.
Adjust the sprint plan based on any input that emerged during the project kickoff.
Make sure all participants understand what is expected to be delivered in the sprint.
Add the stand-up meetings, project team meetings, and steering committee meetings for the sprint to the calendars of all project participants.
Ensure that the strategies underpinning the sprint—such as testing and training—are anchored internally within the customer organization, not just within the project team.
