The solutions
- Logging/Monitoring of Power Automate
Logging/Monitoring Power Automate: To use Power Automate for important processes and logic, rather than just simple ad hoc exercises to get something done, it is a good idea to monitor the status of your flows.
Important considerations for such flows.
How many runs does the flow have?
How long does the flow run?
How often does it fail?
How are errors handled?
Is there any follow-up on errors?
There are several ways to monitor and keep track of Power Automates.
Admin center – get a high-level overview of runs, usage, creations, errors, and connections. Power BI report that does not allow you to drill down into specific runs
Make powerapps/make powerautomate - run log for the last few days
General error handling with a smart setup within flows: Error handling steps, counters, a new flow details experience and more | Power Automate Blog (microsoft.com)
Application Insights (preview as of 16 January 2024) - To be tested - The same logging commonly used for code
Flow Execution History (XRM Toolbox) - GitHub - DynamicsNinja/FlowExecutionHistory: XrmToolBox tool that allows you to browse Power Automate flow runs by applying multiple filters including multiple flows at the same time.
