Overview
Microsoft Azure is Microsoft's cloud platform, offering more than 200 services for computing, storage, networking, data, security, and artificial intelligence. Azure gives your organization capacity and flexibility without the need to own and operate your own servers—and you only pay for what you actually use.
What do we use Azure for?
- Infrastructure and operations: virtual machines, containers, and networks that scale according to demand.
- Data and analytics: storage, integration, and analysis of data as a basis for better decisions.
- Artificial intelligence: Microsoft Foundry provides access to leading language models and tools for building custom AI solutions and agents.
- Integration: the link between Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and other business systems.
- Security and identity: Microsoft Entra ID, access management, and monitoring as the foundation for everything that is built.
Azure is operated from Microsoft's data centers around the world, including in Norway, allowing data to be stored within the country's borders where required.
