How prosesspilotene.no addresses ICT accessibility requirements, and which requirements apply to a private company like ours.
Norway has rules on ICT accessibility (the Norwegian regulations on universal design of ICT solutions and the EU Web Accessibility Directive, WAD). The applicable requirements, and whether a formal accessibility statement must be registered at uustatus.no, depends on the type of organisation:
ProsessPilotene AS is a private company. This page is therefore our independently published, developer-maintained response to the requirement, rather than a registration at uustatus.no. We have nevertheless chosen to assess ourselves against the broader WCAG 2.2 A/AA criteria below, which is the standard we otherwise build to.

On 8 August 2026, we ran an automated accessibility check of 15 representative page templates. It included 18 axe runs in light and dark mode, five reflow checks at 320 CSS pixels and a keyboard check of the skip-to-content link. The checks have since been extended with five text-spacing and 200% text-resize checks, four keyboard spot checks, and structural checks of headings and reduced motion.
Before the fixes, the checks found contrast failures in 13 of 23 tests. After the fixes, the expanded suite at that time passed all 25 automated tests. The current suite contains 34 tests. We run the automated suite for patch and minor releases. A time-limited human spot check is triggered only for major releases or a specific change with particular risk.
Automated tests can detect only certain types of errors and therefore cannot, on their own, demonstrate WCAG conformance. Human assessment using assistive technology, content and complex user journeys is still needed before we can give each criterion a final status.
The table below lists all WCAG 2.2 A/AA criteria. “Automated check with no findings” means the limited checks described above found no errors in the machine-testable part of the criterion. It does not mean “Meets”. The remaining parts must be assessed manually before a final conformance status can be assigned. “Not assessed” means our checks did not provide sufficient criterion-specific evidence.
| Criterion | Level | Status | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.1.1 Non-text Content | A | Automated check with no findings | Axe found no machine-detectable text-alternative errors in the 15 tested page templates. Whether the alternative text is meaningful must be assessed manually. |

| 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded) | AA | Not assessed | – |
| 1.3.1 Info and Relationships | A | Automated check with no findings | Axe found no errors in testable HTML/ARIA relationships, and each tested page had exactly one main landmark. Visual and semantic relationships must be reviewed manually. |
| 1.3.2 Meaningful Sequence | A | Not assessed | – |
| 1.3.3 Sensory Characteristics | A | Not assessed | – |
| 1.3.4 Orientation | AA | Not assessed | – |

| 1.4.2 Audio Control | A | Not assessed | – |
| 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) | AA | Automated check with no findings | After the fixes, 18 axe runs found no contrast failures. Axe could not assess some elements over images, gradients or overlapping layers; these must be measured manually. |
| 1.4.4 Resize Text | AA | Automated check with no findings | Five representative page templates retained their content without horizontal page scrolling at 200% text enlargement. Additional states and features still require manual review. |
| 1.4.5 Images of Text | AA | Not assessed | – |
| 1.4.10 Reflow | AA | Automated check with no findings | Five representative page templates had no horizontal page scrolling at 320 CSS pixels. Additional states and 400% zoom still require manual review. |
| 1.4.11 Non-text Contrast | AA | Not assessed | – |
| 1.4.12 Text Spacing | AA | Automated check with no findings | Five representative page templates were checked with WCAG text-spacing values without page scrolling or detected clipping of direct text. Additional states and visual relationships still require manual assessment. |

| Criterion | Level | Status | Comment |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2.1.1 Keyboard | A | Automated check with no findings | Playwright used Tab through the first 20 focus targets on four representative surfaces without losing focus. Complex controls and all user journeys still require manual testing. |
| 2.1.2 No Keyboard Trap | A | Automated check with no findings | The four keyboard spot checks reached at least five different focus targets and found no short focus trap. Dialogues, media playback and complete user journeys still require manual testing. |
| 2.1.4 Character Key Shortcuts | A | Not assessed | – |
| 2.2.1 Timing Adjustable | A | Not assessed | – |
| 2.2.2 Pause, Stop, Hide | A | Automated check with no findings | All 18 route and display checks confirmed that no infinite animation continued with reduced motion selected. Timed and automatically updating content still requires manual assessment. |
| 2.3.1 Three Flashes or Below Threshold | A | Not assessed | – |
| 2.4.1 Bypass Blocks | A | Automated check with no findings | Playwright confirmed that the skip link is the first keyboard target and moves focus to the main content; axe also found no errors in bypassing repeated content. |
| 2.4.2 Page Titled | A | Automated check with no findings | All 15 representative page templates had a non-empty page title, and axe found no title errors. Whether the titles adequately describe their purpose requires editorial assessment. |
| 2.4.3 Focus Order | A | Automated check with no findings | Focus moved through 20 keyboard targets on each of four representative surfaces without disappearing. Whether the order always preserves meaning and operation still requires manual assessment. |
| 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) | A | Automated check with no findings | Axe found no links without a machine-accessible name on the tested pages. Whether link text conveys sufficient meaning in context must be assessed manually. |
| 2.4.5 Multiple Ways | AA | Not assessed | – |
| 2.4.6 Headings and Labels | AA | Automated check with no findings | All 18 route and display checks had exactly one H1, no empty headings and no skipped heading levels. Axe found no machine-detectable label errors; text quality still requires manual assessment. |
